Summer Movie countdown, 2021- Juliette Naked (2018)

 I found this movie on a Hulu account.  This movie is a story of Annie (the long suffering girlfriend of Duncan) and her unlikely transatlantic romance with the once revered, now faded, singer-songwriter, Tucker Crowe, who also happens to be the subject of Duncan's musical obsession.

The movie takes place mostly in Sandcliff, England, and Annie has a job as a curator in a local museum.  

This movie is so sweet!  I highly recommend it for a couple or someone who wishes to be a couple!

Canary Hotel, Santa Barbara, CA- fireworks view

 This hotel has private events such as wedding parties.  They have a bar from 11 to 7PM on the weekends. They have a Finch and Fork Restaurant with indoor dining.  Yes ago I went I stayed at this hotel and it is delightful, plus there is a great fireworks view from the rooftop bar!

Romantic movie 3- Sleepless in Seattle

This is my third movie I am writing about, but not necessarily my third favorite movie.  During these Covid times, I can relate to Annie’s quote, “Destiny is something we’ve invented because we can’t stand the fact that everything that happens is accidental.” Cynical Annie from Sleepless in Seattle (1993.). I had a friend who actually moved to Seattle after watching the movie.

Monterey Plaza hotel - weddings and special events

I got married at the Monterey Plaza Hotel several years ago.  I went there a few days ago and remembered the celebration as if it was yesterday.  I love the dolphin statues!  It will make your event memorable forever!

Inn at Spanish Bay- 5:45PM, bagpipes

Every night at 5:45PM there are bagpipes playing at The Inn at Spanish Bay on 17 mile drive in Carmel, CA.  Beautiful!
