The San Francisco Day of the Dead Procession and Festival of the Altars is on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. This is a fun, thoughtful, and meaningful event! I loved it the last few times I attended.

Festival of Altars
Garfield Park
(26th and Harrison Streets)
Guests can make an altar for a loved one that has passed away. Making a Day of the Dead altar is a way to honor the life of someone who is no longer with us, and to remember our ancestors.
